The Foreign Trade Program is an associate degree program that aims to train qualified professionals to serve in international trade processes. Within the scope of the program, students gain fundamental knowledge and skills in fields such as import, export, logistics, customs legislation, exchange transactions, and international finance. Theoretical education is supported by practical applications to ensure graduates are ready for the sector.
Our Vision
To be a pioneering program that trains graduates who are competent at national and international levels in the field of foreign trade, can adapt quickly to changing trade conditions, have strong innovation and application skills, and are committed to ethical values while strengthening university-industry cooperation standards within the region and the country.
Our Mission
To contribute to economic development by raising solution-oriented intermediate staff who have a command of foreign trade legislation, know accounting and finance applications, possess analytical thinking skills, can adapt to digital trade applications, and have a developed sense of professional ethics while maintaining a commitment to social responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit.
The program aims for students to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in foreign trade transactions, international financing, customs applications, exchange transactions, commercial mathematics, accounting, and logistics. Graduates gain the competence to manage complex foreign trade processes, apply current legislation, perform detailed financial reporting, and effectively utilize digital trade tools and specialized software in their professional activities.
Under the 3+1 education model implemented in the program, students complete one semester with on-the-job training in sectoral enterprises after receiving three semesters of theoretical education. Through this model, students gain real work experience and obtain a significant employment advantage following their graduation by effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional practice.
Employment Opportunities and Career Planning
Graduates find employment opportunities in foreign trade units, logistics firms, customs consultancy offices, import-export businesses, and international trade departments in both the public and private sectors. Career opportunities are available in foreign trade operations, finance, logistics, customs transactions, international marketing, and supply chain management within various global enterprises and government agencies.
Graduates can continue their academic careers by transferring to undergraduate programs such as International Trade, International Trade and Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking and Finance, and Logistics Management through the Vertical Transfer Exam organized annually by the Student Selection and Placement Center.
Thanks to its application-oriented educational structure, up-to-date curriculum, and strong collaborations with the sector, students gain valuable work experience before graduating. The program provides a strong career start in the field of international trade by offering extensive employment opportunities, professional networking possibilities, and a comprehensive understanding of dynamic global trade operations.
